Education and the Ceilidh Crew

Several Crew members including Gill the caller are qualified teachers and share an interest in promoting traditional music and dance in schools. Our collective experience is diverse with members having worked in primary, secondary and special schools. We are, at present, developing workshops to take into schools and would value input from anyone who might be interested in these services.

We have previously run several dance workshops in local schools where we have introduced children to dances from England, Scotland, Ireland and America.

Special Needs Dances

Gill Emerson has substantial experience in calling dances for both adults and children with special needs. This is something which we very much enjoy doing and all involved can gain a huge amount from the experience.

In addition to dances we are able to do informal music in enhance other occasions.
